has recently had these small pearly pink patches come up on his skin, on his torso...they're not itchy or sore...but there's a lot of them. He didn't even realise they were there! Therefore I don't think it's psoriasis but looks slightly similar.
Any suggestions? I will try to encourage him to go to the GP, but in the meantime, you don't thinks its worth getting worked up about?

I reckon it is definately ecsema. My son had this and they were not dry like this condition normally is, they were wet looking little sores all over just the torso of his body. He had to have an emulsifying lotion from the hospital to bath in and keep them moist. They do eventually disappear however when they did they also took the pigment outta his skin and he is left with little white patches on his body. Seek the docs advise hun and get it sorted. I'd look it up. You don't want to be the one that said "I didn't think it would happen to me."
Find pictures that resemble his condition and see if the symptoms match up.
