People who pull there hair have "trichotillomania" . I have a niece who will not leave a scab alone. She is going to have scars all over herself!

Generally, they're just called skin pickers. No fancy name for it. It's thought to be a form of OCD, sometimes brought on by stress, sometimes done completely unawares. Behavior/cognitive therapy helps, but a simpler solution, believe it or not, is to get acrylic nails put on. They're too thick to allow her to really get at whatever she's trying to pick at, and eventually the habit is broken. Catch it early, cuz it tends to just get worse over time, k?

obsessive compulsive people pick at scabs as do people with autism/aspergers/sensory integration disorder spectrum disorders. I do not know of a fancy term for it though.
