My boyfriend does the same to me but let me explain something to you..
iv been with my boyfriend for 5 years loved him for even more and he is the kinda joker of his friends saying and something doing things that everyone else thinks is funny but it really hurts me. It makes me feel like he has no respect for me..coincidentally yesterday we had another argument but instead of fighting and screaming i just calmly explained i dont like when you do it and im asking you to stop (needless 2 say my voice was slightly louder dan usual but nothing major!!) his friends started a conversation last night and immediately he said no boys change the subject and he wouldnt join in.. What he used to do is bring up ex's of his or talk about other girls to get a reaction out of me not realising it was hurting me when i explained thisto him he genuinely was sorry. Men don't think before they speak or act most of the time its up to you to camly explain to him that if he respects you and loves you they he will comply with your wishes and if not i trhink you know your self what you have to do....good luck.

Sweetie, your boyfriend knows when he’s hurting you. Why do you think after hurts you he then turns the tables to make it to be your fault? He’s old enough to know that is behavior is wrong. He makes himself feel better and tries to justify what he does by then placing blame on his victim, you. Gem of a guy? What exactly is that or what does that mean? Because he’s not hospitalized you from his mental or physical abuse he’s a gem? Hun let me give you something to think about. If you father was doing to your mother what your boyfriend is doing to you what would you think of your father? If you had a daughter and your daughter’s gem of a guy was doing to her what your gem of a guy is doing to you how would you feel and what would you think about that guy? What would you tell your mother, daughter, sister or friend that was being abused about how they should handle their abusive gem of a guy? Deep down inside you know that you shouldn’t be with this gem of a guy so instead of asking the general public how to make your boyfriend realize when he hurts you, you should be asking how do you get the strength to walk away from someone that’s hurting and abusing you.

he isnot a gem of a guy, whatever that's suppose to mena. He ismean and brutal and has no respect or love for you. He merely needs a dirtbag on which to vent his anger or whom he can abuse as he wishes.
As long as you find excuses for him, you are a willing particpant in this. If you however value yourself, you will get the hell out this relationship. There is someone out there who will appreciate, respect and love you enough.
I hope you will take the first step towards a bright and sunnu future by dumping this oak in the nearest dirtbin.

A gem of a guy, if he loves his girl, always want her to feel the best she can be. It's like saying Jack The Ripper was a great guy, only that he killed people.

emotionally : tell him...make him know what he has done is wrong and that your not going to accept that kinda ****. BE IN CONTROL

Physically : if it is unintensionally, then no worries, hit him back...make it a game..as long as no HARD punches are thrown

Dont get a new b/f thats not necessary. Sit down and talk to him and tell him how you feel. If he continues then you might need to rethink your relationship.

You have to tell him face to face and or spell it out.
He really can't read your mind.
