No one is perfect, There are many things that Christ didnt do but we as people and we as just christians do them. Yes i eat pork, not very often but im also 17 and if my parents make it for dinner and i refuse to eat and they order me to and yet i still say no, isnt that dishonoring my father and mother, which it also says not to do. So if you think you are a follower of Christ and that you ar good or perfect at following check other things inlife and see if you are a perfect follower not only in what you eat but what you do.

Dear Friend,
I believe that as well as being Gods word and a prophetic book, the bible is also full of prctical knowledge. At the time this law was written, The Jews may not have been able to cook pork properly and kill all of the harmful bacteria, maybe this is why it was not allowed?
Consider the following:
Romans 10:4
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Christ was the ends of the Mosaic law, which meant that sin offerings were no longer needed etc, this means that it is now fine for Christians to eat pork. But this was not the case until Christ died, and the proce of all sin had been paid.
God Bless

It amazes me how you all try to twist the scriptures around. Jesus told Peter whatsoever I have cleansed, call it NOT unclean. & in Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT(pork) or in drink, or in respect of an holy day or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. 17:Which are a shadow of things to come------ Romans 14:3-14 Read it. 3: Let not him that eateth despise that eateth not, & let him not him which eatheth not judge him that eateth. 6: --------He that eateth, eateth to the Lord for he giveth God thanks------------. Romans 14:14 I know & am persuaded by the LORD JESUS CHRIST(not by man) that there is nothing unclean(food) of itself, but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean-------17: For the kingdom of God is not meat(pork) & drink-----20: For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are PURE----------So my Friend, do you want more scriptures, Yes I follow Jesus & have been for 37 yrs., & no one has proved to me that Pork is any longer a sin to eat. As you try to twist a subject around thinking that a Christian could not answer you, you are wrong, Jesus did not ever get sick either, Does that mean if I get a cold or the flu, then I am not following Jesus, or if Jesus may have ate food only 2 times a day(I am only using this as an example I don't know how many times Jesus ate a day) But let's use 2 times, Then if I eat only one time or 3 times, am I not following Christ. Or Since I have not been to Israel to walk in the foot steps exactly where Jesus walk, does that to you mean I am not walking after Jesus, NO,

What would you classify as a "good Follower" ?
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, for their is none righteous , no not one.
Paul considered himeself the Chief of all sinners, and wrote on his death bed that he had fought the good fight, he had finished the race, he kept the faith, he did not say he won it.
Christianity is not about being perfect in your walk with Christ, but continuing to try and never give up, it is not about being perfect,
So what do you mean about being a Good follower?
Your question goes far deeper than I think you realize and is more complex then that.
But then again it can be simplified by this.
Jesus said in Revelation Chapter 3 that you are either with him or against him, there is no middle ground.
He said: Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
So you cannot be in the middle with Christ, you are either against Him or for Him.

Matthew 15:11 - Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
Mark 7:15 - There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
You speak of the Law from God of clean and unclean foods. The Law of God was used by people to crucify the Messiah and in doing so they invalidated the Law of God.
There is no salvation except by Faith in the Lord God through the Messiah Jesus Christ.
Obey all the laws you want, it won't get you one step closer to heaven.
It is a common belief of Muslims, Catholics and Jews that they are saved by following the Law and their religious leaders. Nothing could be further from the truth.
If you place your faith in the Law or the leadership of people you go to hell.

We must persue the end goal.Everyday is a challenge but by the grace of God we move on. I am a good follower of christ. This doe not mean I am perfect. I sin every day, but we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus and even though we fall to sin, we must pick ourselves up, come to God and move on again. The are many rewards both NOW and in the Ever After waiting for faithful servants of God.

Jesus did eat pork, he actually said that it is not what goes into your mouth that makes you unclean, it is what comes out of your mouth.
It is the words you use that are hurtful to people that make you unclean.
I don't know how anyone can call themselves a Christian and not be a good follower of Jesus, since that's the point. *wink*

Yes, of course I consider myself a good follower of Jesus. We don't know that He didn't eat pork, He went to many parties of those people considered "sinners". But we can guess that He didn't because even at that time pigs weren't farm raised, grain fed pigs, they were still scavengers.
But also note what Paul said about it "I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that man it is unclean. For if on account of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer according to love. Destroy not him with thy meat for whom Christ has died. Let not then your good be evil spoken of"
So in keeping with that verse, I'd never eat a ham sandwhich in front of a Jewish rabbi, I'd just wait until I got home if I had a craving for ham.
