I know this might sound weird, but I'd like to know what's causing it. For most of my life that I can remember and more so now. I'll get this terrible cramping in my lower intestines that feels like a contraction. When I sit down to go the bathroom, it takes forever and these cramps continue. If I don't fan myself, I'll feel like I'm going to black out (sometimes). Then once the b.m. passes, I feel fine. Does anyone experience this or know what causes it?

I think it may have to do with eating onions or certain seasonings...

I used to have this problem, I would have a cramp, feel like I needed to go, I'd get really hot start sweating, then feel like I was going to freeze to death. Then I'd wake up on the floor, not sure of what just happened, my pants still down. I was passing out because I had bleeding ulcers. you should see a specialist.

What you are experiencing is defined as a "valsalva" maneuver. When you're bearing down you are causing your heart to slow and, subsequently feeling faint.
Eat foods with higher content of dietary fiber (Fiber One cereal) and it will go away.
Has little to do with your eating of onions.
Consider asking your doctor about a colonoscopy.

It could be from excessive Vagal nerve stimulation. This occurs from lots of bearing down, holding your breathe, and a few other things. It makes your heart rate decline and thereby reduces bloodflow to your brain.
