Jacob. He Loved Joseph more than the other sons

2007-03-14 00:50:42 · answer #1 · answered by Musa N. 1 · 2 0

Jacob was the father who did not love all his kids the same. He was not a Jew, because Jacob lived during the time of the patriarchs. Judaism is only dated after Moses delivered the law to Israel. Jacob loved Joseph more than his other children and favored him with the well-known "coat of many colors."

King David was also a father who played favorites. He seemed to prefer Absalom to his other children.

I know that Jacob is the answer you are seeking, but your question is technically skewed ... the thing about Jewish law is that the first son is the one who is supposed to be the "favorite", not the youngest.

I think the problem with Jacob was not that he favored Joseph more than the others, but he actually did favor all his children the same and that was the inherent problem ... he was supposed to favor the firstborn.

Jacob and David. Modern parents have the same tendencies. Not a good practice. Have bad consequences.

That would be Jacob . He had twelve sons... but he loved Joseph and Benjamin the best because they were children from his favorite wife, Rachel.

I would say that it was Jacob. He gave his son, Joseph a coat of many colors which made his many brothers jealous enough to sell him to the Egyptians.
