What are deadly over the counter drugs?

I'm doing a research paper and want to know possible deadly over the counter drugs. Anyone who could provide input would be helpful. Thank you!

All pain killers and antacids , cough syrups etc all are dangerous if taken beyond the treshold level. So the best way to use these drugs are according to the dosage prescribed on the bottles / literature etc. One more thing never prolong the use of over the counter drugs if the problem repeatedly comes the moment the medicine has stopped in such cases contact a doctor because any problem should be solved within two days and thats the maximum time limit for using these drugs.

All drugs over the counter are deadly---IF--- you don't follow the directions and take more then it says to take. For example, my daughter has three girls and all are sick at once. So she starts to give them there cough medicine with a drink. The second one is given and she pours the medicine out and lays it on the counter (for the third one) and turns back to pour a drink for the third. Only second one picks up the spoon and takes it------AGAIN!! So off they go to the ER room for an overdose. Are there any safe drugs? Only if you follow directions from your doctor, or pharmacies, or directions on a box , anything else and your asking for trouble.

The drugs which are safe even in some over dosage are allowed to be sold as over the counter. for example acetaminophen if taken more than 15 tablets in 24 hours will be toxic while the max. dose is 8 tablets in 24 hours and toxicity doesn't mean that it will be lethal. At mild toxicity there will be nothing more than nausea vomiting etc.

you may want to include water.It is used as a drug in some cases and you can drown in it!
