1 TBS of apple cider vinegar, small pinch of baking soda(so acid in vineger won't errod enamel on teeht), mixed in 4oz. of water
This is something I've tried and found to work. My sleep is much better and I can fall asleep alot easier.

Valerian root, or Sleepytime, from healthfood and vitamin stores, and some supermarkets; exercise vigorously for 30 -60 mins daily, but not within 2 hrs of bedtime, and nothing exciting in that time, including loud music. No daytime naps. Bed for sleeping only; bedroom dark. Warm bath before bedtime, and read something boring. Keep to a strict pre-sleep routine, so your unconscious mind knows to prepare for sleeping. After lights out, either count backwards from 150, or repeat "easy" in your mind.

I went to my doctor and got ambien because it is cheaper then the over the counter medications. I have a problem sleeping at night I go to sleep and I wake for at lease 5 times. I have dreams where I die. I thought you were suppose to wake up prior to that happening.. Anyways what relaxes you? maybe try turning on some mellow music in the back ground and a glass of wine.

here is a good one my mother told me about. The natural hormone Melatonin that is released with sunlight. If you take the 1mg under the tongue pill when you go to bed, it will drift you off to lala land subtly by adjusting your internal clock to "evening sunset" mode. If it doesn't help they have 3mg pills too. Oh and a glass of warm milk works too.

If you work out regularly like cardio, it should really help your body adjust in about two weeks. You should be sleeping better and also feel better (happier) during the days.
