A new girl started at my work yesterday and luckily for her it was also someones birthday so we all went to the pub. At the end of the night the new girl and one of the lads also from my work (shane baron) ended up going home together and apparantly they had passionate sex all night.now poor shane is really confused because he claims to still love his ex girlfriend lauren from burnley but despite this he still wants to start a relationship with the new girl. we have all tried to warn him away from having a relationship with a colleague but he doesnt seem interested in our advise and none of us want to see the poor lad get hurt. He wont listen to our advise so anyone with any ideas let me know so i can pass it on to shane

he's an idiot!!! if he truly loved his ex, why have sex with the new girl??? he needs a reality check...

nothing wrong with sex with work colleagues, enjoyed a lot of that myself... :D

It is caring of you to be so concerned, but if your colleague is determined to pursue the new girl, there's not a lot the rest of you can do, except to be there for him if he does get hurt.

I guess that Laren from Burnley might soon know about Shane's night of passionate sex, since you've broadcast his name on YA!!! So that could speec things up a bit.

You're right, having a relationship with a colleague is not sensible, and can lead to disaster...but it can be irrisistable. Let us know how it gioes!!

Well I think as his friend you should first tell him that either way you will still be his friend whether or not you agree with his choices. Then I think that this is a little rushed they should get to know each other before they worry about a relationship! But personally I don't think that work should be a problem if you love someone, tell him not to let that get in the way just to be careful and get to know her.

it usually ends is disaster, however this could be one of the exceptions. He is probably not going to listen to any body's advice so the best thing to do is let it run its course. An old proverb says "Experience keeps a dear school, but fools will learn in no other".

Workplace romances can have very bad endings. Should a breakup occur, you still have to work with and see them everyday. If it's an angry breakup, retaliation is sometimes involved which can cost one or both persons their jobs.

look .. if he is saying that he still has something for his ex .. then he should care for'er therefore he should jus let that new girl go .. AND if he has nothin for his ex .. and insists on that new girl .. i'm tellin him that this jus ain't gonna work , cuz work relationships never work .. what if he is turned on and they started it on her/his desk and BOOM the manager enters , they both get their asses fired .. anyway this will affect his working performance , as he will be always on her side .. even if everybody sees that she is wrong , he won't so it may affect him very badly as well as her

Sounds like he's in lust not love. Since these sort of things hardly ever have a happy ending maybe you should tell him to stop thinking with his penis.
