Nothing wrong with it as long as you are pulling your weight as far as contributing to your support. Parents that allow their offspring to stay in their homes without any responsibilities are not doing them a favor. They will not learn responsibility without having any.

I think there are a few circumstances under which living with your parents is OK at 24.

-If you are in between college and grad school
-If you are home to care for an ailing parent
-If you are in between moves and need a place to stay
-If you are the one who is ill and need care

In most of these cases, the stay is temporary.

However, living with your parents past the point in which you CAN support yourself (i.e. done with college, healthy, of age to work ) you should be working and living on your own. Your parents just spent 18 years raising you. It's time to give them a break.

I often find that when it comes time for kids to leave the nest they whine about not finding a place as nice as their parents house. Well, no kidding. When you're starting out you will most likely live in a crappy apartment somewhere. Then the following year, you upgrade. The year after that, you upgrade some more. And so on.

I recall my first apartment at 18. Total dive. I was broke. I saved up to go grocery shopping and bought rice and canned goods. Got home and realized I didn't own a can opener. Couldn't afford to buy one until the following week. Lived on white rice for a week. Often had no heat because I couldn't afford to refill the oil tank. Often went without eating to FILL the oil tank. Ten years later? Living in a multimillion dollar home in a prestigious area and I appreciate every last little thing I own because I remember what it ook to get it and what it was like not to have it.

Living on your own is not only the adult thing to do, but it also teaches you some valuable lessons that stay with you forever.

IT depends ! What are doing with your life ? i mean are you in school? work? both ? Are you saving to buy a car ? If you answer yes to this questions or some of them then it's nothing wrong with living at home while trying to reach your goals but if you answer no to all those questions and you are not doing anything positive with your life then , yes there is something wrong with a grown person with no goals staying at home to munch of his parents You be the judge of which category you fit in
Good luck !!

If YOUR parents are o.k. with it then why not? I moved out on my own when I was 22 to an apartment little did I know it was going to be so hard! I had a good job and everything, but I missed home. :( I say stay at home as long as you can and save up $ to buy a house!! :) Good Luck! ~T~

It depends on who you ask. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm still living at home and I'm 58. Strangers may think that's scandalous, but people who know me don't have any such problem. I think a lot of people get their ideas about how we should live from the TV.

That depends. Are you a bum and living off them? If so no it's not ok.

If your in school or even working to save for your own place and your are contributing to some of the expenses I don't think its wrong.

Different strokes for different folks!
I am 24 and have a daughter who is 7 and i moved out when i was 18 to my own flat but due to problems with my daughters dad, i moved back in with parents and moved away.
I am now planning on moving away to our own house in the summer but as long as u pay your way and help out and your parents are cool with it then whats the harm.
Not nice if u ever want to bring anyone back though lol.

More and more young adults are living home with their parents. It's becoming more common! Due to the extreme higher costs of living!

It depends on the people involved.
If you are there to share expenses, as a roommate and not as a dependent, it is fine. Do your own laundry, pay for your groceries and utilities, and compensate Mom a little for cooking, cleaning, etc.
If you are there because life on your own is too hard, then you need to grow up and try it on your own. Your folks did, and they made it. You can too.
