I am willing to go to PA or NY to look at healthy puppies. It's the price I'm worried about. Let me know if there's anywhere you know where I can get a Yorkie puppy for less.

If price is deterring you from getting a dog, maybe it is not a good pet for you. Anyway, you may be able to find a good breeder in NY. A shelter might also possibly have yorkies. In general, yorkies are a more expensive breed than most. Contact the american kennel clubto get in contact with breeders within your area. Go to the website below to find out more. Put into google search engine "yorkie in New jersey/NY" also try www.petfinder.com.

Petfinder.com is a great place to find a Yorkie. There are many rescue groups that have them for a lot less than 1500.00. Watch out for sellers of puppies in Pa and NY., there are many puppy mills out there, that say they have healthy puppies, and aren't. Make sure they are reputable breeders. (Especially PA) And pet stores can be just as bad, some buy from puppy mills. I would stick to a rescue, any dog there needs a good home.

Well,if you would consider a Japanese Chin I know of one available near you that is from a great breeder and has many Champions behind it. Chin are a small breed, they do not bark much at all, and are extremely socialble and sweet. I know what she has now is going to be very small also.
They are adorbale and I think she was going to ask around 6 or 7 for the puppy. She had 2 and is thinking about whether or not to keep the boy but the girl she is not keeping.You can email me if you would like her contact info. Also you can look at the breed on line and see if you like them.
Remember it is important that you get a dog that YOU like and will be happy with. Also the link bellow should have a video link on that page and there are some videos on U-tube of chin too.

find a breeder, setup an appointment, stake out there house. and when they leave, break in and steal them. Do one that is far away from your home. and be sure to wear gloves.
And ofcourse when you setup your appointment and visit them, use an alias and give a fake address
