I touched raw chicken then, without washing my hands, put my fingers in contact with my mouth and touched a piece of gum that I chewed. Is it possible that I could have salmonella, or would I have to swallow a piece of raw chicken or lick the chicken?

If the chicken was fresh, I would guess no. Salmonella is a bacteria that sets in after the chicken or the juices have been exposed to room temperature for a while, so you are probably safe if it was fresh.
