just be yourself, and if he doesn't like that then u know he isn't the one for you. I know how it is to like the popular boy in school. It sucks i know. But in high school popular boys don't normally go after UN popular girls. Just be yourself and Don't play games they get us no where. It's very important to be confident especially when it comes to guys. That way, you will feel that you are able to get him, and if he is into you, you probably will get him. Just tell him or hint him how you feel. Usually when you tell a guy that you like him and he doesn't like you back, the whole situation between you two suddenly become so awkward. So I guess it's better to just give him a hint, and that should be enough for him to decide if he like you back or not.
On the other hand, if he has a girlfriend, you shouldn't try to make him leave her because if he is capable of doing that, maybe someday he'll do it to you too.

keep talking to him, focus most of you attention to him, make him feel liked and maybe then he'll start liking you. make jokes and just be friendly to him. dont do the 'i dont like you', although it might attract some guys, it might not attract this particular guy. dont go for him just cos he's the cutest in ur class, thats not a good enough reason to go for a guy. but itd be a good lesson for you so yer roflmao.

Do not attract him.make him to understand about ur feelings.It is better for u both to undrestand.First go straight to him and talk to hi lonely and express everything.I think it will work out for u.
