oh jebus....um. I probably wouldn't want to eat off of it. Considering how much bacteria people have on their hands, dust mites, sweat, anything. I think I'm actually going to clean it now lol.

A little, probably. It's a laptop I just got for Christmas, so it's still fairly clean. I don't eat near it (too much).
As for the "family" computer, I just pop off the keys with a butter knife (they snap right back on after you clean them); and clean them and underneath well with a q-tip dipped in alcohol and the excess squeezed out. You practically HAVE to when you have cats. When you start to see the cat hairs sticking out from under the keys...IT'S TIME to clean them....it works very well and the keyboard looks like new when you're through!
P.S. Those compressed air cans may be good for in-between cleanings, but they don't help if the keys are sticky. I think the air just drives the dirt even further into the mechanisms of a computer and it's accessories if you don't clean them manually once in awhile.

Theres a lot. It is said that theres more bacterie on a keyboard then a toilet seat which makes sense because some people dont wash their hands after going to the washroom and then the bactery from that moves on to the keyboard. Its disgusting.

Since I just cleaned the toilet, the keyboard is now the filthiest thing in the house. I suppose it's time for a good clean. Thanks.
