For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction is the theory of law by Newton. We, being human take some help and it is minimum curtosy to thank for that help. Natural phenomena is that even animals, trees and birds are to be thanked for they are indirectly feeding with the vegetative food, milk and transferring the seeds from one place to another for utility by the human. Hence, thanking process has become a habit in our society.

Thanking someone or people is a way of showing appreciation for something you did not have either in form of a gift, advice, or even a service that has been rendered to you and or even rendered or given to someone close to you.
These thing in one way or the other will affect ones life either positively or negatively but at the end of it all there will be a lesson to be learnt thus impacting knowledge to you and also the one being thanked.
On the other hand the person whom you thank will be encouraged to more of this good deeds thus causing a ripple effect and changing many other people lives.
Ask yourself one thing, how do you feel when someone appreciates something you did and did not know that you did, because you had done it without wanting anything in return?

It shows the positive approaches in life.
We live in a society , where helping each other is inevitable.
Each one of us should be ready to help and each one of us should be ready to accept that help.
We should not develop the false ego of feeling inferior to accept that favour, voluntarily and large heartedly , provided to us.
Then only we can understand the true spirit of living. Then only we become great , to acknowledge the other persons magnanimity , by profusely thanking for the selfless service provided by him.
Only a humble person , to show his/her gratitude , can thank another person.

Does it cost you something to thank someone for any smallest favour?

No, right!

Rather, you would see and get back a smile from the other person in return. So why not thank?

Etiquette I suppose. Won't it be rude to accept a favor from someone without admitting the accpetance. Thanking is a way to express that I accept. And no thanks is a polite way to reject the favor.

All the best...

:-)
