my heart is so heavy out of emotional distress. what do i do to have a lift up and how do i "forgive myself "and learn to move on? i feel choked . HELP!!

Passing of time heals emotional wounds along with "me time". Your "me time" should be the most important part of you for a while. Get back to the activitities you once enjoyed before meeting the person that hurt you. Get back in touch with close friends and family that you know will support you without prying into your personal affairs.
At some point when you feel you are healed, face this person, forgive them, and forgive yourself. Look forward to the future and forget the past. Walk a straight road.

If you have done everything that you can to try to work things out then it is time to move on. You have to look forward not backward, forgive yourself by making some changes in your life, get rid of the baggage that may be around you from this relationship. Spend time with your friends and family and draw support from them. It is said that time heals all wounds, if possible you could see a counselor to help you work through this.
