i understand him.
don't do things you regret when you are upset. take time to cool off. it actually works. so he probably felt betrayed or lied to because you told him you love him. if you love him, you wouldn't leave him like that. you'll just take your time to calm down and talk about it later

He, he, and... he! Everything you've said has been about him. Where do yo figure into any of this. Seems like you tried to do everything to make this relationship work and all he did was neglect you and twisted it around to make like the breakup was all you fault. Everything is your fault and you should kiss the ground he slithers on. He's a controlling manipulative idiot! And so what if you liked other people. Bet it was OK for him. If that was such a threat to him then you are well rid of him. How fragile an ego he has. A little boy in a man's body. What he's doing is trying to make you feel guilty. He will too if you let him. So don't let it happen. He doesn't want you back? Good! Best that's ever happened to you. The only reason he says he loves you is because you are no longer around. Keep it that way! He never did love you and he never will. He can't love anyone but himself. And don't worry about him being hurt. That's a pitiful ploy; a crock to rouse your guilt. It's all a crock so don't fall for it. He's a snake for pulling that.
What to do? Move on and regain your life. Do you really miss him and all his bogus drama? Come on! Find someone who is a human being and will treat you decent and with respect. Someone you won't be subservient to either. Never sell yourself short; not for any purpose, under any circumstance or to any person! If you do it'll only come back and bite you in the rear. Then you will be more than confused. You'll be trapped and have no where to escape to.

I am well aware that we are reading only one side of the story here and I would have appreciated knowing his reason for yelling at you. Actions like that are usually in response to something that was either said, done or not done!! Why was he hurt because you broke off the relationship?
If later you started to hurt during attempts at conversation what does that hold for you in the future?
Something happened I feel that you have not told us, and the general drift that I get is that this problem isn't just going to mend so quickly. Maybe it is time to start all over again and wish your ex-mate all the best.
Good luck.

Sweety he's playing these games with you because he doesn't want anyone else to have you. Can't you see why he keeps going back and forth with you. It ties your feelings and emotions up with him and it keeps you from developing or meeting other people. Get ride of him for good and find someone who really cares about u.

Your ex is a MEGA LOSER. I can hardly believe that a grown adult man would behave like that without having some kind of developmental disability.
This guy is so immature it's making my teeth hurt. He seems to think that every problem in the relationship is your fault.
Just lose the scumbag. You'll be glad you did.

If he truly loved you he would or should have done his best to treat you right. Its up to you what you are going to do.
