the truth is out there, and if you go looking for it, from book to book, person to person, picking up a bit of it here and a bit of it there, comparing things, reasoning them out, you will find the truth, and you will find that it doesn't really have a category or name. this is confusing to many. take, for instance, the general in the american military who yesterday spoke out against homosexuality, calling it an immoral act. completely clueless. obviously christian. christianity contains many pieces of the truth and utilizes them to sell a pack of destructive lies to a large portion of the world's populace. some of them are here, spewing their self-righteous hatred at you, and i am sorry that they do that. keep your chin up, and don't let them weaken your morals.

I'm an agnostic-atheist, so my view is in no way biased by the scripture of the Bible or the teachings of Christianity. I don't at all think that my morals trump yours, although it's hard to base this solely on the fact that you are homosexual and I am heterosexual. I've known some gay guys, not close close friends, but more than acquaintances, and they were great guys. They were far nicer to people, especially girls, that most other guys I knew in high school. Don't worry about the Christian view of homosexuals. Or anyone's view for that matter. I'll tell you, I'm have mostly republican views, but one thing I don't agree with is the fight to continue banning homosexual marriages. The way I see it, homosexuals are just as good as anyone else, many are even better people than heteros. Again, it takes more to judge a person's morality than knowing their sexual preference, and in my opinion, so long as you aren't a pedophile or necrophiliac, then your sexual preference in no way plays into your moral standing.

As a christian my beliefs are based on the bible, to me it is the Word of God.and i have to be obedient to that word. I don't get to pick and choose which parts to follow or not follow.
God says homosexuality is a sin. and to abstain from it just like any other sin behavior .i.e .promiscuity, gluttony, murder, stealing, adultery so on and so forth. You say you don,t want to hear superstitous nonsense is this what you mean? The bible ? well It,s the basis of what i believe.
as far as morality goes "all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" " All our rightousness is as filthy rags"."The only way to the father is through the son" Jesus died to pay for all our sins, If i have any morality at all worthy to God it is because I,m coverd by Jesus,s sacrifice.
Im not better thann you at all just saved by the blood of Jesus.I turn my life over to him daily and he gives me the strength to overcome the lusts of the world.
dont worry about getting right with God before you seek him out! we arent capable of that. thats why we need Jesus .build your relationship with him and he will let you know the changes needed in your life.
being moral isnt what God wants. people can do the moral thing without God .(to no avail) it,s surrender he wants so he can work his work on you.
peace><>

Your homosexuality has no effect on your personal morality. It's merely a lifestyle choice. Personally, I don't condone homosexuality, but who's so say that your overall life choices are better than mine? There's a lot of things I don't do because the Bible teaches me that they're wrong. Samson was directed NOT to cut his hair. Did it make him different? No, it only made him sanctified (separated) and set apart to do a specific work for God. When he failed in that regard, it robbed him of the gift God gave him, and sunk him as low as a man can get! The fact that you're an open homosexual doesn't make you different from the average person in the moral sense, only the spiritual. And you're robbing yourself of several aspects of a full relationship with Christ. But, no one can judge you on that basis alone, for Jesus told the men that brought the hooker to Him to be stoned, "Let he who is WITHOUT SIN cast the first stone." They began to weigh their lives against that statement and knew they had sin in their lives that would send them to Hell if they died before the next Passover (Since Jesus had obviously NOT been crucified yet, the OT law was still in effect where salvation was concerned), so they couldn't rightly condemn her, only her sin! Since she had the same RIGHT to salvation as they did, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are thy accusers?" When she told Him they'd all gone, He said, "Neither do I condemn thee, GO AND SIN NO MORE."

Just by telling me you're a homosexual gives me not enough information to judge whether my morality trumps yours or your trumps mine. Homosexuality has no moral advantages or disadvantages to heterosexuality. It is just a lifestyle. Morality is about doing harm or good, and as long as lifestyle does no harm to anyone, it has no moral implications.

I dont think my morality trumps yours, but I do think your morality is as degenerate as mine lol.

Like in the book by Enid Blython called The Land of Far Beyond, an angel made appear everyone's "bad stuff and burdens" on their back and allowed them to hang them up and trade, no matter whose Baggage they traded with, each person found it equally heavy and encumbering :)

I have no idea what your morals are?? Being homosexual is only immoral if you are strongly religious and quite honestly I don't think much of christian, catholic religions anyway.
As for my personal moral standing, its slightly depleted from yesterday so yours probably trumps mine!

I used to be an atheist and my morality was that of socialism and humanism. Although I found the idea of male homosexuality not at all appealing, I had nothing against those who practiced it.

When I became a Christian, which was a long, painful process involving my whole being for a number of years, I came to respect the authority of Scripture. The only reason I think homosexuality is morally wrong is because it says so in the Bible (Old and New Testaments). Actually, I can see now that it's wrong, but so are a number of sexual practices I've done myself in the past or fantasised about (anal intercourse with a woman and masochistic fantasies, for example).

I am not condemning you, but I am agreeing with the Bible and saying you should take a deep look at this and ask God to enlighten you on this matter.

My personal opinion is that your condition is a twisting of your natural instincts caused by something in your upbringing or environment, like my masochism which God showed me was rooted in being brought up by an extremely strict grandmother who denied me access to girls.

who says I do? Why do you think your morality is better than other people's? Personally i think everyone should live their lives and leave others alone.

Edit: By the way, I am pro gay sexual orientation. Animals HAVE been proven to have homosexual relationships, and people have been gay since way before jesus and "god" were made up.
