I know a girl who is hardworking, a brilliant person, helps charities, adopted donkeys, looks after people, does everything for everyone, yet has been told that because she takes the contraptive pill that she will go to hell.
Where is this right and if God was so great, then why would he want it too?
This to me sounds like total brainwashing and madness!
Why condem a good person who just happens to take the pill so she doesnt bring a child into the world who she couldnt look after properly anyway at this time of her life?

Taking contraceptive pills are a sin in many religions such as the Catholics, etc.
Look it up.

well, some people are not aware of the fact that the rules of the Holy Books have been written more than 2000 years ago, and do not match anymore with our actual societies.
If not giving birth was a sin in Judea, it's because at this time there was a hight child mortality rate, and anyway the contraceptive methods were probably atrocious. So it was very unwise to spoil a birth where you needed a lot of arms to populate a region and expend a culture/religion.
But some near sighted persons still think that choosing not to give birth in an already overpopulated world is a sin because, well, it's written there, see.
It has nothing to do with faith or god, by the way, it's just a blind way to follow outdated rules that lead to jihad and other funny things of the kind.

The supposed god should be proud of someone who has the responsibility and foresight to not bring a child into the world if she isn't ready. Furthermore, if there is a god, then he would have known that this person would take the pill before he created her, and therefore, he isn't upset with her, because he still made her anyway.
However, this brings to mind that everyone's actions are approved by god. He supposedly made everyone, and he is ok with whatever we do because he knew we were going to do it before he made us.
Then that would mean though, that all the bad things we do are also approved by the supposed god. However, this either contradicts the description of total benevolence, or omniscience. Therefore, there can be no god as described in the bible, because omniscience and total benevolence do not add up if WE are the sum...
So, basically, the whole bible can be disregarded, and so can the people who swear by it...

I don't want to judge any religion because every religion invariably has its good points.
But you have struck a very raw nerve with this case that illustrates the gap between a religion and its spirituality. When the practice of your religion does not make you spiritually better, or if being a better person is not seen in good light by your religion (as in this case), then it is probably time to move on to something better (another religion or another parish).

Some people take a very rigid and irrational stand thinking this will please God because they "know" all the "rules." They forget God wants us to love others not point out their sins (this is a general statement , I'm not convinced taking contraceptives are a sin) and condemn them. The Pharisees are alive and well and living in our times.

The person who told her that must be... God? Or else that person thinks he/she is God by deciding who gets to go to heaven.
Also, I haven't read he entire Bible, but I haven't come across where it says that...
In any case, ask around for a second opinion... A different religious denomination. Thank goodness for the Reformation a few hundred years ago...
Gggrrrrrrr.... stuff like that gets me angry!

Relax, she isn't going to hell because it doesn't exist. If it did then those time-waster judgemental people that say so would be the ones going there, according to the way judgement is to be carried out. And if there is an improved existence after this life, then she'll definately be there.

You get crazy people in every walk of life, which doesn't mean that all people in that community are as silly. I'm a Christian and have used contraceptives. I know that a lot of Christians do.

I agree with the complete lack of priorities when it comes to which sins are observed and which ones aren't and which ones are unforgivable. But did you say she adopts donkeys? What exactly does she do with them?Or do I want to know?

Verily, there be none so blind as will not see!
Those that cannot see the good in her because they're blinded by the one act that they think is bad are truly blind.
Don't let that worry you or her; for the meek shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
Pax vobiscum, pax dominic.
