I keep hearing that Islam is very scientific and that the more science you apply to it the more the Qa'ran makes sence. What is scientifice about this?
A man was sitting in a cave minding his own business.
A very bright flash of light appeared.
A voice spoke out one word: "Read!" The man felt like he was being squeezed to death. This happened several times.
Then the man asked, "What should I read?"
The voice said, "Read in the name of your Lord who created humans from a clinging [zygote]. Read for your Lord is the most generous. He taught people by the pen what they didn't know before."
The man ran home to his wife.
While running home, he saw the huge face of an angel in the sky. The angel told the man that he was to be the messenger of God. The angel also identified himself as Gabriel.
At home that night, the angel appeared to the man in his dreams.
Gabriel appeared to the man over and over again. Sometimes it was in dreams, sometimes during the day as "revelations

in his heart," sometimes preceded by a painful ringing in his ears (and then the verses would flow from Gabriel right out of the man), and sometimes Gabriel would appear in the flesh and speak. Scribes wrote down everything the man said.
Then, one night about 11 years after the first encounter with Gabriel, Gabriel appeared to the man with a magical horse. The man got on the horse, and the horse took him to Jerusalem. Then the winged horse took the man up to the seven layers of heaven. The man was able to actually see heaven and meet and talk with people there. Then Gabriel brought the man back to earth.
The man proved that he had actually been to Jerusalem on the winged horse by accurately answering questions about buildings and landmarks there.
The man continued receiving the revelations from Gabriel for 23 years, and then they stopped.

Some Islamists are really desperate nowadays to prove Muhammad a Biologist, Embryologist, Cosmologist, Chemist and theologist, while it is quite true that being a citizen of a very primitive age, Mohammed had a lacking of basic reasoning of science.
The ancient people at that age had a severe problem to solve --where does Sun exactly stay at night?
It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne of Allah and takes the permission to rise again [Volume 4 Number 421].
Does sun really stay underneath the throne of Allah at night or is this a scientific fact?
Muhammad also tells: Eclipses of the Sun are the signs from God to frighten Believers [Volume 2 Number 167].
How can Muslims defend those words of Muhammad?

The Quran was written by God not Muhammad (pbuh). It was given to the people through Muhammad (pbuh)
but here are some verses in the Holy Qur'an about science
These mention that one thing is equal to another
i.e. men are equal to women.
Although this makes sense grammatically, the astonishing fact is that the number of times the word man appears in the Holy Qur'an is 24 and number of times the word woman appears is also 24, therefore not only
is this phrase correct in the grammatical sense but also true
mathematically,
i.e. 24 = 24.
Upon further analysis of various verses, he discovered that this is consistent throughout the whole Holy Qur'an where it says one thing is like another.
See below for astonishing result of the words mentioned number of times in Arabic Holy Qur'an
Dunia (one name for life) 115. Aakhirat (one name for the life after this world) 115 Malaika (Angels) 88 . Shayteen (Satan) 88 Life 145 .... Death 145
Benefit 50 Corrupt 50 People 50 . Messengers 50
Eblees (king of devils) 11 . Seek refuge from Eblees 11
Museebah (calamity) 75 Thanks ! 75
Spending (Sadaqah) 73 Satisfaction 73
People who are mislead 17 D Dead people 17

Speaking publicly 18 P Publicising 18
Hardship 114 .... Patience 114
Muhammed 4 S Sharee'ah (Muhammed's teachings) 4
Man 24.
Woman 24
And amazingly enough have a look how many times the following words appear: Salat 5, Month 12 , Day 365,
Sea 32, Land 13 Sea + land = 32+ 13= 45
Sea = 32/45*100q.=71.11111111%
Land = 13/45*100 = 28.88888889%
Sea + land 100.00%
Modern science has only recently proven that the water cover 71.111% of the earth, while the land covers 28.889%. Is this a coincidence?
Question is that Who taught Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) all this?
that,

at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a CLOUD

“Have not those who disbelieved known that the

“ It is He Who created the Night and the Day and the sun and the
moon: all (the celestial bodies) SWIM along each in its ROUNDED
COURSE.” (21:33)
“
Night overlap the Day and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected
the sun and the moon (to His law) each one follows a course for a time
appointed..” (39:5)
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the
“He draweth the Night as a veil over the Day. Behold verily in these
things there are Signs for those who consider!” (13:3)
“Modern Science has discovered that in the places where two different seas meet,
there is a barrier between them. This barrier divides the two seas so that each
sea has its own temperature, salinity and density.” (1)
(1) Principles of Oceanography, Davis, Page:92-93
(2) Oceanography, Gross, Page:242
(3) Oceanography, Gross, Page:244
“He has let free the two seas meeting together. Their is a BARRIER
between them, they do not transgress.” (55:19-20)
“He is the one who has let free the two bodies of flowing water, one
palatable and sweet, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made
between them a barrier and a FORBIDDING PARTITION.” (25:53)
The Mediterranean sea water as It
enters the Atlantic over the Gibraltar
sill with its own warm, saline and
less dense characteristics , because
of the barrier that distinguishes
between them.
“Modern Science has discovered that in estuaries, where fresh (sweet) and salt water
meet, the situation is somewhat different fromwhat is found in places where two seas
meet. It has been discovered that what distinguishes fresh water fromsalt water in
estuaries is a ”pycnocline zone with a marked density discontinuity seperating the
two layers.” (2)
“This partition (zone of seperation)
has a different salinity from the
fresh water and from the salt water” (3)
“ Or is like the darkness in a deep sea. It is covered by waves, above
which are waves, above which are clouds. Darkness, one above
another. If a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it...” (24:40)
The darkness in deep seas and oceans is
found around a depth of 200 meters and
below. At this depth, there is almost no
light. Below a dept of 1000 meters there
is no light at all. (1)
Scientists have only recently
discovered that there are internal
waves which “occur on density
interfaces between layers of
different densities.” (2)
The internal waves cover the deep waters of seas and
oceans because the deep waters have a higher density
than the waters above them.
but they can be detected by studying

There are so many examples of Science in Islam, but I will give a few---
The Quran states that the Sun has its own orbit, which has now been proven true (solar apex),
For centuries it was blamed on the female when she could not give her husband male children- but the Quran says that the sex of the child is determined by the sperm of the father (Which is proven true)
The Quran states that Iron was sent into the core of the Earth,(which scientists say happened during the SuperNova star explosions)
that the Earth was created from a Bang 21:30 "the Heavens and the Earth were joined together as one unit of Creation before they were Cloved Asunder"
that all life originates from water-- 24:45 "Allah created every animal from water, of them there are some that creep on their bellies, some that walk on 2 legs, and some on four"
..that God permitted a protective roof over the Earth...
one that destroys meteors, filters the suns rays, and protects us from outside temperatures...
The Quran states that God permitted that the Oceans do not intermingle with each other.. (which scientists call surface tension)
the list goes on

There's no point in criticizing these texts. They're considered holy because they seem to convey a spiritual message. Read through all the dogma & mythology and just maybe you'll find yourself.& When you do find yourself , you'll find **
That's the sole purpose of these texts - the bible the quraan the torah . But in my personal opinion people take them too literally & corrupt these messages .
It does'nt matter if Mohammad was delusional / a psychopath ...what does matter is that he's given us a great bit of text - it reflects history and the moral culture of those days . Read it like any other text & keep the politics out of it .
The "theories" are going to be proved & debunked - but the text was'nt intended to be for that purpose .Censor the crazy bits and see what you can swallow.
Peace!

Science is yet to say anything about holy spirit. So, its useless to mock process of revelation through sceince and logic.
The same message which Gabriel converyed to Prophet Mohammed have something which was not known untill recently, which make Islam scientific. Or you can say that Islam is not in the conflict with the science. There is harmony between Islam and science unlike chrsitianity

First of all, you shouldn't hang out with anyone that keeps talking to you about science. That stuff is boring! But since you brought it up, I'm thinking Islam could be scientific in a hip hop sense. For example, you could say, "That imam was really droppin' science on the mic today at the mosque!!!" In that context 'science' would just mean general knowledge and/or street smarts.

No.
In 86:6-7 the Koran says, "man was created from ejected liquid- Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs". This echoes the scientific error of Hippocrates who believed semen originates, from the brain down the spinal chord, before passing through the kidneys and finally out of the body.
Is this a scientific proven thing?
