I saw the same program, but my own views were similar to those expressed before I saw it, so it didn't affect my opinions.
Global warming is a largely natural phenomenon, which is being affected in a small way by human activity. But by no means is human activity the sole, or even main cause.
The main problem I have with the way much of the media presents global warming (and most people learn their global warming from the media) is that they behave as if the Earth's climate in the 20th century is how it's always supposed to be, and that's just not true. The Earth's never had a stable climate, yet they act as if it has. Natural warming and cooling trends are perfectly normal for Earth, and it's warmed and cooled substantially quicker in it's history.
Governments are also far too quick to use the idea of global warming to raise revenues or score political points. Few seem to have a clue of the science.
I think public reaction to global warming is 80% hysteria, 20% information.

I believe that our earth is getting hot everyday compare with 20 years ago. Now, it becomes the most interesting problem for us; every one who is on the earth. So that why the government would like the students to share this idea from the speech competition about global warming and the way to protect this problem on the 9th of March at Chulalongkhon University, Thailand.
The weather quite hot than it used to be. The best idea from one of thestudent from the competition is try to stop the population's growth rate. Most problem come from to unbalance population in the world. More people need more energy, and natural sources. If everything is balanced then it should be one good way to keep our earth stay cool.

Not only that, but now It seems Al Gore has exaggerated at least some of the information in his Global Warming movie... who would have guessed that one? And this new information comes from the New York Times and the UN...? One huge exaggeration of Mr. Gore's was that he said that the water levels could rise 20 feet in New York, Florida, etc. Now, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a United Nations body, says it could rise a MAXIMUM of 23 inches... Of course Al was only 18.08 feet off and no one seems to know where he got that information in the first place. It makes you wonder what else he's hyped, doesn't it? It seems to me that if some of his words were hyped, it brings into suspect whatever else he says... as well as the scientists that support him. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/13/science/13gore.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
If you look up any global temperature chart on the net, you'll find the earth's temperature has only increased by about 6/10 of one degree (C) - that's 1.1 degree (F), in the last 125 years. So yes, the globe is warming up, but it's not overheating like some would have you to believe. http://data.giss.nasa.gov:80/gistemp/2005/2005cal_fig1.gif
According to the newest UN report on Global Warming, "Livestock are responsible for 18 per cent of the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, more than cars, planes and all other forms of transport put together." http://news.independent.co.uk:80/environment/article2062484.ece
So if Al Gore and all the alarmists really want to do something about climate change, again, they MUST become vegetarians and shut down cow and pig farms. I mean seriously, if they truly believe that global warming is as disastrous as they are preaching then they need to stop eating meat, period! I seriously doubt that will happen. If not, then they are the hypocrites that some of us already suspect they are.
Also Al Gore preaches to you to conserve, but he does not practice it himself. He uses 20 times more energy in his Nashville mansion than the national average. http://www.tennesseepolicy.org/main/article.php?article_id=367
One thing he has not learned is that you MUST practice what you preach... at some point you will get caught as he has.

yes global warming is happening but co2 is not man made. the burning of fossil fuels is whats causeing it. this is because many years ago c02 was in the systems of plants and when these died they were burried and it prevented them from decaying this means that the co2 was caught andcould be released and over the years formed fossil fules. when these are burned it releases the trapped c02 in the atmosphere. so infact it has allready been really hot in around the time of dinosaurs so..... reptiles can servive it... we probly wouldnt be able to so lets hope ppl stop burning fossil fulesor some new method of servival is made.

The earth is a system that changes whether we like it or not.it's true what u said but the fact(proven fact) is that humans have played a giant role in the warming up of the planet.the reason CO2 raised after ww2 was because of extreme coal use. sorry to say that, but it sounds like American propaganda the way u r putting things.Global warming is here to stay and u have to do sthg about it-like all of us have to.unless u want polar bears to die..

hi, actually the focus on CO2 alone as you said, is still open for debate. However, the one thing we should all focus on , perhaps, is to reduce pollution. This will definitely help slow down the global warming threat.
Hope it helps!
