Dip two spooks in very cold water for a few minutes and then, using the handles, place the bowl part over your eyes. This should work a treat and the redness should fade quickly. It's also helpful if you have some Optrex eyedrops for red eyes as this gets rid of the blood-shot look that often accompanies a good cry.

Put slightly dampened tea bags on your eyes, or in a pinch, use slices of cucumber. Lie back and put them directly on your closed eyes. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Good luck!
