Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma-phala. Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward, karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative.
You can work on it by staying on the right path, doing good for others without expectation and not hurt anyone.

Karma is the energy result of every action, thought and word we make in life. In modern terms, it is every action has an equal and opposite/similar reaction. And it creates a domino effect, where we keep slapping each other harder and stronger each time.
Which means if I were to slap you, ( action ) the result can be two fold.... namely Immediate reaction, where you slap me back or a Delayed reaction, where you await an opportunity to slap me back. Many people view Karma as a "fated" and unchangable result, that is not always true, like after slapping you, you hold yourself from reacting, and generate a forgiving heart... THEN that particular little erg of karma is dissolved and the domino effect of karma can end there.
Otherwise, it will escalate into vengence, hurt feelings where an issue like leaving the toilet seat up can escalate and expand into couples getting into huge fights or even ending up in divorce... ( my best friend and her husband...*blink*)
Or on the flip side it could be positive too... Like if you give me a helping hand ( action ), it could result in a friendship formed, or from gratitude i could get you a thank you gift. The results of karma are manifold... and very fascinating to observe
The workings of Karma is in EVERYTHING, if you but sit back and look, you will begin to "see" karma and its effects at play... Hope I didnt confuse you even more. hehe....

Karma is the philosophy of Hindu and Buddhist that connotes the cause and effect of ones deed, it is most likely the fruit of our doings, the result or effect of our actions. Karma incorporates reincarnation, the cycle of death and rebirth. Karma determines one's reincarnation this is in line with the belief of the Hindu. It is believed that one's soul is immortal so it reincarnates in to other forms such us pig. For example you were a lazy person in your past life because of these you were reincarnated into a pig.

karma is beyond our physical control. it can be good or bad. it some kinda a spiritual vengeance that occurs on a person that has done something to you. so that's why don't take revenge on the person. karma will do it. if you do good things and expect nothing in return, you will receive unexpectable surprises. just remain selfless and humble and good karma will always be with you.

In Buddhism it is simply put as the conditioning of your mind by past actions which will determine your future actions. Not about fate, payback, old grey bearded men with ledgers recording your past deeds but only the sum of your experiences and how they influence your future.

Karma is basically that any good or bad deeds that you do, will come back to you. For instance, you do a good deed, something good will come to you. You do a bad deed, a bad thing will come to you.
