Certainly in Britain where I live, all female muslims are not circumcised, though I have read articles about some females being sent abroad and being forced to have this procedure.
You don't want to judge, so I will. Female circumcision is a barbaric, degrading act, which can cause life-long pain and severe health problems for those who are subjected to it. It often involves cutting away every visible part of the woman's genitalia, including the clitoris. Can you image having your clitoris (the most sensitive part of a woman's body) or penis severed? Please do educate yourself against this cruelty towards woman: the more people who are aware of it, the more chance there will be that it ends.
I am all for letting people follow their own religious beliefs, but no woman ever circumcises herself. It is done TO women at a young age, most of the time against their will. And I have never encountered any woman who is not sorry that she had it done to her.
Btw it IS performed by muslims. Less than 5% of the population in Thailand is muslim (the rest are buddhist), but when I went there I met men who said they circumcised young females and I am pretty sure they were serious. It is also performed by muslims in Africa.
See here for more info: http://www.religioustolerance.org/fem_cirm.htm
"...FGM (female genital mutilation) is a social custom, not a religious practice. However, in those Muslim countries where it is practice, FGM is often justified by a controversial saying attributed to the Prophet Mohammed that seem to favor sunna circumcision. The authenticity of these sayings are unconfirmed, and some scholars have refuted them. Even if true, they only permit the practice; they do not mandate it."

It is common knowledge that in some countries like Egypt, female circumcision has been practiced by both Muslims and Christians. In the meantime, this practice is not known in most Muslim countries including Iraq, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. [4] This leads to the conclusion that female cisicircumon is connected with cultural practices rather than with Islam itself as a world religion
Circumcision, for new born boys, is recommended. It is not compulsory. Therefore, if a child born to a Muslim family is not circumcised and he remains so until his death, he does not commit a sin. It is true that it is unhygienic to remain un-circumcised, but when we speak of a certain situation from the Islamic point of view, we have to classify it according to the teachings of the Prophet. There should be no great emphasis attached unduly to circumcision. If he is a good Muslim, whether he is circumcised or not, it does not affect his status in any way. Some people may be scared lest this action in adult life should result in some complications. Others are too shy to go through it. Why should there be pressure when Islam has not required it?
Prophet Abraham whom God ordered to have himself circumcised we follow him in that
Female circumcision is performed by both Muslim and non- Muslim girls and is not simply an Islamic tradition. 3-Female circumcision is often sought by women and not imposed by men. 4-It is true that removing part of the clitoris affects the sexual sensation for women, but the latest research has also proven that male circumcision also reduces up to 85 percent of the male sexual sensitivity. These research were based on adult male who had circumcision at a later stage in their lives and compared sexual experience. Therefore, it is not correct to condemn one operation that is not performed in the West (female circumcision), while ignoring or accepting the effect of another one (male circumcision) that is performed both in the West and in hot countries. Thank you for asking and God knows best

Female circumcision is an Islamic obligation, but its not what you think it is. I am a happily circumcised Muslim woman and have no problem with it, so why should anybody ? I don’t have a smelly piece of skin covering my clit. So what. I am better off without it. I chose to have it removed when it gave me some problems including a bad smell which my husband found irritating and often complained about when we had oral sex. It also gave me painful irritations once in a while. My sex life has since improved greatly. And its good to know that my religion Islam demands it, despite what some so-called Islamic scholars have to say about it. Even western women are going for it under the name of hoodectomy.
Here’s a great site about it – http://www.umatia.org/2011/Safe%20Female%20circumcision.doc

The Muslim scholars say female circumcision is an aggression against women and should be stopped.
The scholars stress that Islam forbid people from inflicting harm on others, explaining that those who circumcise their daughters were doing exactly that.
in islam circumcision is 4 men ONLY

female circumcision Is apllied in some countries like KSA as a tradition that has been followed By Muhammad PBUH.
THIS IS WRONG, Scholars proved that Muhammad ddidn't do or attempt to do or graced this brutal operation.. it is Forbidden by all means as it endangers health. Nothing affects the human body but is mentioned in the Quran, female circumcision is not mentioned in the Quran or Hadiths except a very very weak Hadith; said by Aysha, and Aysha herself stated she didn't Say that Hadith at all!!
It's a lie constructed by retarded socities to maintain Male supremacy and domination via religion. This is a sin, and God will punish those who do this to children. According to Quran, no man is doiminant and no woman is dominant, they're both equal, Supremacy is to God Only.

Actually, the majority of Muslims oppose such a practice, and it is NOT supported by Islam. This is done in a few areas and is a cultural practice rather than a religious one.
