It depends on the perspective. If you kill a person who even poses to kill you or any of your kith and kin and you can justify that you have had no know or available alternative to save the life of you or your kith and kin at that moment except killing that person, you may kill him/ her.

However, killing in the war field with the authority and by the commands of your supervisor is mandatory without thinking any right or wrong; as a soldier, you are obliged to follow the commands of your boss.

But with this excuse, as the president of a country, you can't send your troops to another nation to kill the other people and proclaim that you have done it to save the lives of your people. If it happens, then all killing in the world get some legal rights this way or that way.

Self defense, and self defense of others are affirmative defenses that would probably bar a murder conviction, given reasonable circumstances.

However, to take a human life is a very traumatic event; think of all of the people who would be affected by the "victim's" absence: wife/husband, children, parents, siblings.

Although I would not hesitate to do what's best for my family and friends, as well as self-preservation, if possible, I would not want to have the guilt of taking a life on my conscience.

Yes. It prevents that killer from killing again and hurting someone else's family. If they were after my family including my dogs, especially in my home, the killer would be killed with any means I can use at the time. Good question!!!

Even institutional killing is suspect. Who knows what lies after death? By whatever means, it is still death. Re-incarnationists would say that as punishment for a hideous crime, death is the easy way out. Far more enduring a punishment is a lifetime in a prison. Christians? Well, they made the laws we go by now.

I wish I could've murdered the lady who charged @ me with 2 knives last night. I called the police on this crazy whore, & the police said she had every right to charge @ me with the 2 knives. Life sucks so bad, I'd rather be dead if it's true that death is the same conscience as sleep. I LOVE to sleep.

Hi naked!

It is a lot better to kill a killer, who given a free rein would kill so many more, but I think only in exceptional cases ( thinking Hitler). Have you got my e-mail yet??????????

I wouldn't hesitate if it was for protection of my loved ones and it came down to self defense.
