talk to him..APOLOGISE sincerely! It will hurt... but no matter what, the truth is still the truth, so tell him that you are sorry about it see what he says or how he reacts... Got to let him know tt you dun think you want to carry on with this relationship anymore. . . . and is better to be friends...
Just make sure you wont regret after making such decision.

You don't just not love someone anymore unless you never did love them. Never leave someone you love for someone you like because the person you like will leave you for someone they love. Take a hard look at your guy. If you have a good relationship with your guy and he treats you well and loves you back, then you should ask yourself what you would really be accomplishing by seeing this other guy. Just remember that you only get a handfull of good things in your life and if you try to reach for something else, you'll lose what you had and may not get what you wanted.

You probably didn't love him in the first place and you may or may not be in love with your new boy friend. Just tell the old one you want to start seeing other guys for a while.

depends on if you want to remain friends or not
if not, then just tell him calmly, plain and simple on the phone or in person (but not that you are in like/love with another, he'll figure that one out on his own)and dont call or accept calls and /or talk to him anymore in a bf/gf kind of way but be civil and smile and maybe say hi if you come in contact with him. This shows him you are a big girl and mature and really mean it and can handle yourself in these situations..and you will love yourself for doing it this way...

You need to tell him you have come to the decision that it would be best if you started seeing other guys-----and that because you value your friendship so much with him you have decided it would be best to not 'hang-out' with him anymore because you wouldn't want anything to get into the way of your friendship.
