Best of luck to you in your search.

I don't know what state you are in, so I can only direct you to broad general searches. If you add a comment with your state, I'll be able to point you further.

First off, if you haven't done so already, you should register at ISSR in the chance anyone is searching for you. You can find the ISRR website FAQs at http://www.isrr.net/faq.shtml

You should also register at any state run reunion registries if available. I don't know what state you live in, but this site has a state by state listing.. just be sure it really is the official state site. Some of these are smaller registries run by individuals on free web pages, and those can be a waste of time.

Also, you can register here as it is a pretty popular site.

Realize though that these registries are not well publicized, so many people don't know about them. Prepare yourself that you may register with every site there is and still not come up with a match. Don't think that's because someone doesn't want to find you! It may well be because they simply don't know about the registries.

Because of this, be sure you have a good support base to help you with the ups and downs of your search. There are a number of good online support groups, but you're going to want to find one specialized for your state, as each state has different challenges. You need to get your original birth certificate, if possible, and your non-identifying information from the state. A support group can help you with that. You can try going to Yahoo groups and searching for adoption plus the state you live in to get a listing.

Good luck!

Well the best thing that you can do is to try to call and ask a program in the television station which helps the adopted child to find their true parents instead of trying in the website. Try to think what if your true parents live in the province where they have no time for internet and they don't know how to use the internet where in fact if you just ask help in media they will expose it and tell to the public that you are interested to meet your true parents

Before trying to find your real parents try and think how it would affect you in the first place if they rejected you, becoz they gave you up in the first place. Talk it out with your current parents and they could help you. Be ready for anything. Wish you luck!
