No, I am a "fundie Xian" and that number doesn't offend me.
I always think it absolutely hilarious, however, when someone gets it tattooed on their body but they purposely DON'T put it on their right hand or forehead. That's called "hedging your bets." If you are really going to sell you soul to Satan, you might as well do it correctly, heh?
The number of the mark of the beast can be found in the book of Revelation, and yes, it is six hundred and sixty six.

I'm not Christian in the churchy sense, but find it strange to think that something like that would cause offence to someone ostensibly practising something that is of the heart, not superstition.
if that number has any power at all (which i doubt) then the power of love is certainly a whole lot greater.

and it isn't really an offensive symbol, but one which symbolises the Devil
