I think that any given country has a right to act in such a way that serves it's own interest. If it feels it should develop nuclear power or even nuclear weapons so be it. However, the world community should come together to spell out direct physical consequences of what would happen if this nuclear power was used on another state. The policy of mutually assured destruction worked for forty years to keep the USSR and the US from using a nuclear device. I do not see why this could not be extended to the rest of the world. If you want to build them - fine. If you use them - you will be very sorry.

ok this is what i think........ well to start i say yes and no Yes because its good to make the advances in the technology but NO because most countries usually think about using Nuclear technology in a negative way bye bombing another country. Which this therefore causes many different problems.

it depends on the country i would be scared if Iran got one"for him no" cause he already said he would use it if he got one but if someone with peaceful means i don't see a problem i like it when people say we got one why cant they well we had one for almost 10 years before anybody else if we wanted we could have taken over the world then but we didn't i cant see Germany saying that if they had a monopoly during ww2 so it all depents on the country

Yes, i believe any country should be allowed to pursue a course of any action of benefit to their people.
And, in the event of their attempted mis-use of that technology, i also say they will pay the piper for its misuse. In coin.
we might have been looking at a different outcome in the middle east if Israel hadn't of bombed that Iraqi reactor before it went operational.

Of course, scientific discoveries aren't restricted to any nation. Look at Russia, a bunch of illiterate peasants yet somehow in 1947 they managed to blow up & contaminate half of Siberia by proving to the world they had nuclear technology

"...be allowed..."
Um, who elected you or the USA to be the World Police?
We live in a Democracy where vote's count for something?
Well, I'm not voting for the military Commander In Chief.
I'm going to vote for my conscience.
You got a problem with that, sunshine?
