I am always tempted to watch TV even if I have a major exam the following day.

I think many people have this problem. It happens because of a lack of focus and motivation. try going out to a quiet place to study cos home is comfy and is where all the 'distractions' (tv,computer, etc) are. or give yourself a break in between studies where perhaps after an hour of study you can watch a bit of TV then get back to studying again. you need to organise your time well. set aside enough time to study and also for breaks. it helps. you don't have to completely deprive yourself of leisure because of exams. manage your time well.

Do what these guys say. GET "The Secret" Book, DVD or CD's. I've ordered all three. Watch/read/then turn off the TV and go to the quietest place available to study where you will not be seeing your friends. I had a favorite carrel in the library where I studied. And a comfortable chair in another library to looked out some big windows at beautiful scenery. It can be done, but you have to plan it. If you can go home or to some elderly friends' house, that's even better. Well, that's in the university. If you are at home, turn everything off but the light. And get that DVD.

Think about what TV will have done for you in 10 years time when you don't have a uni degree or a job. You won't even have the money to AFFORD a TV if you don't concentrate on school now. It's the only chance you'll get. You have plenty of time to watch as much TV as you like after you've finished uni and got your degree.

When I was in college, rather than go home, I used to go to the library to study. That way I knew I wouldn't be tempted to waste my time. I had solitude and quiet. If you are not in college, try a park or any place where there is no television or radio.

Go to the library or find a place that has no tv. Maybe, Starbucks... you can drink something good and work on your homework.
