It's hard to get fat in 3 5 years unless you just sit around and eat and do nothing all day. Weightlifting is ok but if you pick up to much you can hurt yourself. Plus you can get the same work out by running, doing crunchers, and push ups.

Picking up very heavy things when you are young can ruin your back when you get older.

the recommend age for weight lift should be 14. You should wait 2 more years before you join. It only have a little bit affect on height growth.

Would not recommend you to do it cause guys will stop growing at age 21 only. To strenuous weight lifting at your age can prevent you from growing taller and if not done right could damage your spine. If you want to grow taller try to do some strecthing exercises everyday.

Hope that helps!
Cheers! =)
