Rombergs or Perry-Rombergs disease has no cure or treatment (other than the cosmetic surgery). It is a progressive disease that gets worse over a period of 2 to 10 years and then usually stabilizes. The purpose of the cosmetic surgery is to correct the facial deformities caused by the disease but it will not stop the progression of disease or cure it.
