Anjani was blind. Her daily food requirements were taken care by the god Vayu. One day he drops a fruit bearing Shiva Amsa in the hands of Anjani. After eating the fruit she becomes pregnant and gives birth to Hanuman. Since Pawan was responsible in dropping the fruit in the hands of Anjani, Hanuman is also called Pavan Putra.
If we see Hanuman Chalisah we will find ANJANI PUTRA PAWANA SUTA NAMA -------- SANKARA SUVANA KESARI NANDANA ---------TEJAPRATAPA

lord Hanuman was son of Pavan(god of wind) and Anjani.

Pavan Dev was Hanuman's God father....Pavan Dev transferred Lord Shiva's supernatural powers to Anjani's womb, so Hanuman is also called Pavanputra.

Because Anjani was raped by Pawan while she was roaming alone in the forest. since The Wind(Pawan) was God, it was not a crime. Most Gods were considered to be beyond question. and having their child was done thing in 'Mahabharata' times
