I met a girl at a friends wedding about a month ago - she seemed really positive and fun and we talked a bit (mostly about her) and i notice she kept sitting next to me, asking me to dance, coming outside when I was..etc
She crossed my mind since so I got her number from my friends new wife. When I called I could hear she was driving so I told her I'd call back in 15. I did. she did not answer. I text her to say i dont understand the ignorance but i would take it as she is having a bad day. she text me back that night saying she had a hard day and she would be free next day should i wish to call. I called her in 5 days as i am busy. No answer. I text her the last time to say I like you so far it would be good if she could call me when she is free. 5 days later she text me apologising for not returning my call as she was busy with work and what have you. told me hey maybe give me a call during the day. looking at current trends i am no fool - she will not answer
What the hell went on?

I understand the girl is poor - so I thought maybe she has no credit on her phone. I told her if she has no credit just prank me and I'd call back, but she text me instead, using my suggestion of no credit on her phone as an excuse?

Sounds like you both were playing phone tag for awhile. She, on the other hand, sounds like she wants to take control of the situation. It's possible too that she's interested in someone else at this time and she was playing you. Remember many guys and girls, if they have problems in their present relationships they look for someone else to boost their ego.
Be upfront with her and call her asking her to a movie or lunch. If she is not there leave a msg but be specific of the time and date. If she doesn't respond back, blow her off...

o, my god. i can't believe i am writing it. what's wrong with u man? u told u like her. she never told u that. u were the one who got her phone number. she never did that. so according to all the dating rules in the world u have to call her. not her. poor or not poor it's a no no for a woman to call a guy first. so just call her. if she doesn't answer call again. and again. only persistent men re rewarded. and by the way, how do u know, maybe she has a bf or even worse - a fiancee?

Just a thought, but maybe she is not answering because she has not stored your number in her phone and since she does not know the number she does not answer ( i do that). So maybe try again once maybe twice, if nothing changes move on and direct your attention to someone who will return it. Good Luck!

Instead of texting her just try calling, or text her saying something like I'd like to talk to you now, are you busy? If you like her don't jump to conclusions, keep trying, or if you feel like your being played then give up, but people have busy lives so it is possible that she is just caught up with work, if she is 'poor' as you say, then she probally is working alot to try to earn money.

i usually dont answer the phone when i see its someone i dont wanna talk to...so shes probably doin the same thing. but you know...just call her again. i could be wrong, maybe she really is busy.

Try going to where she is working and invite her for lunch. That way you can see if she is really busy or not.
