no, i'm not some random 14 year old girl who thinks she has the biggest problem in the world, and i wish some people wouldn't assume that!
but, yes i am 14.
my parents just got a divorce.
my brother, and my father both have a drinking problem.
i'm 90% sure i'm bi-polar.
i've almost commited suicide.
my loving friends stopped me.
but, i'm having second thoughts..
i don't know half the things that go on in my head these days.
i can never think straight.
it's like i'm going crazy or something.
can someone who might be going through the same thing help me deal with this?

I went through the same sort of thing when I was your age. My parents were having severe difficulties (they stayed together, but shouldn't have as they are miserable people still). They were so focused on their own problems, I was neglected for 3 years of my early teen life. I had no parents. My mom became severely depressed and would not get out of bed. My dad hated us both (as my mom recollects, because of guilt) and was never home at all. My mom then became very manic and very self consumed for a couple of years. I'm an only child, so this was really stressful on me because i had to deal with it alone.
I was so depressed during this time (very similar to how you are now. i hate thinking about how i felt back then). I should have seen a therapist. But my parents didn't notice my problems and so I did not. The main suggestion i can make is go to therapy now! At least go talk with your school therapist. It's not a bad or negative thing to do. it can be very helpful and a good experience.
I'm still trying to work out my problems from my early teens...going to therapy. I suggest you get that over with as soon as possible ;)
You should definitely go talk with a psychiatrist and see if you are bipolar. This is very important that you go and talk to a doctor. Bipolar can cause a lot of bad things in your future. Get diagnosed now, so you can know what to expect. I'm bipolar. ups are good but bad for everyone else in your life, but the downs are Baddddddd, with a capital B.
All teens are ****** up at your age. It has to do with hormones and such. But as a survivor, (barely a survivor) of it, I can look back and say I wish I had got some help.
Just know that you are not alone!! There are many people you can talk to and many many many people are going through the same thing you are going through. Don't loose hope with your life. With the bad, there is always going to be something better. Wait for the better. It's worth it. :)
If you want to talk more, you can email me. :)

I would be glad to help as I have been in a situation lately myself. My father had just passed away and my mother is on the verge of it because she has heart problems and high blood pressure. I joined the marine corps out of a feud with my father and things were unresolved. Now I regret joining and also I am unsuitable to be in this environment so I've been trying to get separated so that I can help my mother but it is a struggle because it is not something you can just get out of. Things are really going against me now and one of the things that has been helping me is by possibly helping others.

It's sounds really bad, but it's "life", life is made up of ups and downs and someone told me that most depressed people's lives get better. And I know 14 is usually a pretty tough age.
Someone once said, that you can learn things from nature:
Look at how scared animals get when it looks like they are about to die.
(Nobody knows where you go when you die, it could be a worse place than you're in now.)
Remember, life is about doing whatever YOU want to do, and if someone forces you to do anything it's called abuse. You've got your whole life ahead of you to do whatever you want!
Here's a website i showed someone who said it helped them:

Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!

Nothing in life is easy you just dont know how to handle stress so here are some things I do to relieve it. listen to music that makes you feel good, talk to those good friends of yours and sleep that always makes me forget the next morning I feel better, this is when you have left your childhood behind and turned into a woman so think responsibly and dont do harsh things to yourself one day you will wake up and realize that it wasn't that bad

people always say the most important thing to solving problems is knowing what the problem is. and it's a good thing that you know you have a problem that needs to be dealt with. that's a good first step. talk to someone who you can trust or go to a counsellor who will listen to your problems and counsel you. sometimes, what we need is just a listening ear. you're still very young. please do not place on yourself the heavy responsibility of dealing with your family problems. hope things will improve soon.
