Some people are for or against the death penalty. However:

Truth is, all people have sinned. At least according to the Bible.

In simple terms, this means that God sees all people as deserving of the death penalty already. So we die, because we sin.

Not one of us have the right to judge another. Simply because we sin too. It's like telling a thief to accuse another of stealing.

Only a perfect person may judge.

Your thoughts pls?

I agree. We always fall under power. Death Penalty hurts, those who are agreeing also have sinned. I think your question is so deep.

I agree with you and I am against the death penalty. We did not create any lives in order to have the right to take them. This is God's job. However we need to follow the law and have people work for the justice (court, judges, lawyers) otherwise we would have lived in a chaos.

Well, gee whiz, I guess we'd better let all the rapists, child molesters and murderers go free then, huh? Let God sort it all out? That "not one of us has the right to judge another" might sit badly with the JUSTICE system in this country. My thoughts are not anything I can put here and not get reported for. So I'll simplify - that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You're basically saying let people do whatever they want with no repercussion because we, who are not God, are unequipped to dole out justice and judgment. Nice.

Nonsense. It is always necessary to reach judgments about others: are they trustworthy, reliable, guilty of some crime? If someone has committed a grave enough offense to be reasonably considered to have surrendered his humanity, putting him to death as a public menace is appropriate. (Consider the Oklahoma City bomber.) As for the notion that there is such a thing as sin, I don't buy it. Sin is ordinarily defined as an offense against the rules of god, but since there is no evidence of the existence of god, let alone of rules, the concept is void.

Absolutely - only God has the right to condemn someone to death, which is why I am against the death penalty. Aren't we blessed that Someone has already taken the penalty for us?!

We are no longer under the law if we are saved. Jesus has paid our debt for us. Yes God sees all sin as equal but man does not. With no law there is chaos. You must have standards that people must be expect to uphold.

We do not have the right to judge each other only God has that right. He does not see all of us deserving of death because if we ask forgivness we revieve it.

Its nonsence...

If u think God is really that bad to human.. why would u call him God?

Why would God blamed human and cant do simple thing as"FORGIVING?" Is that what God is?

It's illogic that God cant forgive human.. blamed all human.. and kill his own son?

If Jesus truly die for human sin.. why would people borther about religion anymore? all human are SAVED.. thats the only purpose according to Christian of why Jesus was sent to the world... why would people even bother about it anymore?

anyway, Jesus and all prophet before Jesus never said about human are born sinned and never said that Jesus will die for human sinned...

its all St. Pauls made up stories!!

compare Gospel and Paul letter.. dont tell me that Paul command can supersede Jesus. and dont tell me that JESUS NEVER MEANT WHAT HE SAID.. if that is so.. what is JESUS for?

there are different levels of sin....
its like saying being nasty to someone as opposed to killing someone..
u cant compare the two..the death penalty MUST be enforced for certain extreme crimes like robbing and killing cos people need to realise that they cant get away doing things like that..

If one has taken the life of an innocent human being, their life should also be taken, thus the death penaly should be given to them.
