GOD isn't the bible and the bible GOD, perhaps. I have faith in the supernatural(spiritual). Yet, I use reason. I believe in the physical, but there also exists the non-physical. I was reading an article on Humanism, and it separated every belief system into two categories- reason and GOD. Humanists remind me of christians, muslims, so forth. But, they try to separate themselves. If you reason with the bible, christians believe you are an atheists. Humanists (atheists) say you are not reasonable if you believe in GOD. Humanists denounce religion, but Humanism is a religion in itself. Humanity is destroying the earth. We cannot search only ourselves for solutions and answers. We have inhabited the earth for some years, and finally we will destroy it without intervention outside of ourselves.

If they do, they shouldn't. Reason and logic point toward God. Let's reason together on the exsistence of God. When we see a painting, we reason that there was a painter. We do not have to see the painter ourselves, logic tells us there was a painter. The same is true with creation. When we see creation we reason their was a creator. Logic tells us there was a creator. If we say there was no creator, then how can creation exsist. Something cannot come from nothing within our physical universe. Now an atheist may say to me where did God come from. You see when God created the universe he also created time, for it is logical to assume every aspect in this universe was created by God. So in their minds everything must have a beginning and an end. However God is eternal. Eternal means there is no beginning and no end. Someone may say well couldn't this universe be eternal. The anwser is no for we all make up a part of the universe God created and if the universe was eternal then none of its component would begin or end thus concluding we would not have the dimension of time. See how I just reasoned for God the creator.

The answer to your question is that God is inaccessible through the use of reason. Those who tried to reason their way to God failed. A belief that one has without any justification is just what it states; a belief. One is not using reason by ASSUMING that there is a supernatural power. You might believe that you are using reason when you think that this "rational" world cannot be a work of randomness but must be a work of the watchmaker himself, none other than God. Through the use of language, people often make the mistake by thinking that their beliefs or assumptions are a product of reason. I hope this helped?
