I want to know where to search or ask for domestic help -- persons who can take care of elders, invalids, sick & the immobile. People who can come home and look after old persons for a monthly fee. I am looking for retired nurses, 'ayahs', and middle aged servant maids. Location Hyderabad India

Till now there is search engine for maids or Ayahs.
You have to depend on local Tea shops, Panwalas, security guards of a complex and vegetable sellers.
All the qualities would depend on your own selection process.

Implicit in your question is the limit you impose by stressing too heavily on the place at which the caregiver would work.
At the outset that cannot be the priority. What is of chief concern is the care itself first of all and amassing a pool of caregivers from which to choose for sake of the person(s) who is to receive the help.
You will indeed need to translate everything in terms of the meaning of what it is to work in this location; it has to be made familiar to the prospective employee, including the geographical location and the environs... You have to give them a feel of what they are to face. Bear in mind the caregiver and the cared-for are not cattle, nor are they machines... See?
Next go to the organizations who work with such things, like international organizations - like the Red Cross, the Catholic Church, the United Way, and local hospitals or non-profits, which are connected with the agencies that provide care and may link you to still other organizations...

Ask around or,as in my case, advertize and be sure and ask for references which I assume are available in India too.
If you know someone who has a care-giver, maybe that caregiver can direct you to someone they know who could be just who you are looking for.
If you know a nurse they might give you leads but an ad is the best bet especially for a retired health=care giver. Praying you find just the right person and you can have peace of mind also knowing your friend,parent,etc. is in good hands.

it is easy to find one , there are organisations whiich trains gents, and ladies as home nurses. one will stay at your home and do the needful. food, accomodatiion, and salary may cost a lot. another option is daily help,just to clean giving medicine etc. decide. first approach nursing homes private cliniics in ur locality. they. have contacts. domestic nursing are called ;seva ; in other places. option 2 ; if u need just for cleaning , bathing etc no medical training is needed, ask ur sweeper to bring someone. hospitals use their services. they may charge up to 100 rs perday/
