Sure Peter repented. After denying Christ the three times, he later became a very powerful minister for Christ healing people, casting out demons, and honored Christ so much in Peter's death, that Peter asked to be crucified upside down instead of right side up because Peter did not feel like he was worthy to die like Christ did. Peter was crucified upside down on an X instead of a cross.

you can speak all on the accounts of how Peter became a great minister for Christ but the true repentance came directly after the denial. If you read the text of Peters denial it says that Christ looked at him and Peter went and wept bitterly! Anyone who is a child of the most High God knows that first repentance comes when your sins are brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit which Christ shows this picture of the Spirit while looking at Peter and Peter knew what he had done second for a true child of God they know then comes the repentance which is when Peter went an wept bitterly! How many times can we say we have sinned against God and shed bitter tears over our sin! I certainly believe the tears Peter shed were because of his sin of denying Christ!

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure Peter did not go to hell, one reason I believe this is because in Matthew 28:16 Jesus spoke of the 11 disciples. We know what happened to Judas.. So, I'm thinking Peter is in Heaven.. I'll see if I can find anymore info..

Believe what you want to believe.
We are told this, some will believe.
I personally believe that Jesus being the Master, told Peter that he would deny Him, and also said that Peter would be forgiven.
This is similar to a mother/child relationship. In most cases, the mother of the child will take abuse and never stop loving.
Most of what I believe I get from the World Almanac, book of facts.

Peter was redeemed. Later, he proclaimed his faith in Christ:
"Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. "
And after Jesus rose from the dead, before Jesus ascended into heaven, he told Peter that he was the rock upon which Christ built his church.

Of course he repented. We have a forgiving God. Peter loved Jesus. We all make mistakes. We ask for forgiveness and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. We have an awesome God.

62And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
Mathew 26 : 75And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
John 21 : 15So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
