There is no such thing as sin, it is a Christian concept devised for control. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a couple of drinks, depends on the effect it has on you. Some people's personalities change in an undesirable way when they consume alcohol but if it doesn't have an adverse affect on you, then I don't see a problem.

There is never a phrase in the bible saying it is okay, and everything i can find addressing drunkness seems to be in a negative way, (1Sa 1:15) But Hannah replied, "No, my lord, I am a woman oppressed in spirit; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have poured out my soul before the LORD.
(De 29:6)" You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or strong drink, in order that you might know that I am the LORD your God.
And many more.
Also do not listen to the person claiming people drank alcohol more than water because water was unclean. Alcohol is not a subsitute for water, it actually CAUSES dehydration and to say otherwise is incredibly bad advice.
The bible also never says what jesus drank was alcoholic wine.

The use of Alcohol is mentioned specifically in the Bible as one of God's gifts to men.
Abuse of alcohol is also SEVERELY frowned upon.
God actually pronounced judgment on ancient Israelites that watered down beer to sell it for a higher price!
Everything in moderation is the way to go.

Absolutely not. Jesus himself turned water into wine so the partiers could get drunk.
Sins while drinking, though, are still sins, and people are still responsible for their actions while under the influence of anything.

According to Islam, YES!
In the Quran-
"O you who believe, intoxicants, and gambling, and the altars of idols, and the games of chance are abominations of the devil; you shall avoid them, that you may succeed." 5:90
The Prophet Muhammad also instructed his followers, at the time, to avoid any intoxicating substances -- (paraphrased) "If it intoxicates in a large amount, it is forbidden even in a small amount." For this reason, most observant Muslims avoid alcohol in any form, even small amounts that are sometimes used in cooking.

Anything in excess is inadvisable including drinking beer. Of course I wouldn't know whether it would amount to 'sin'.

I think that depends. I feel like if you need to unwind, drinking is not that bad, as long as you're not spending bill money on it and such like that. To each their own, just remember, Jesus turned water into wine. And I will argue with anyone who tells me it was juice. The Bible says wine! That is alcohol.

I doubt it. Back then almost everyone drank alcohol rather than water because the water was so unclean. They didn't have brita filters or water systems to clean the water you drank. Alcohol was a lot healthier than getting a bacterial infection from the icky water.
