She sounds like she's having pre labor and could go into full labor at anytime. How will she know when it's full labor? Oh, she'll know. Back labor is one of the worst and it sounds like she's already started feeling it. It's from the baby moving and rotating against her spine to the right position for delivery. She needs to be aware of any signs of danger like if the baby stops moving. I would highly reccommend going in for a stress test for the baby this will let you know if the baby is okay. Her OB should be aware of what is taking place and doing any monitoring of her and the baby. Don't go to the hospital because they only want to admit you when the baby's half way out (lol). They don't even want to see you untill contractions are 5 mins apart.

Lying down won't stop the cervix from moving but it's best to walk around to speed things up.

has the dr checked her for any type of baldder infections??? i had a UTI about 3 weeks ago and felt the same way. also sometimes the mucus plug can have alittle bloody show in it. you can lose the mucus plug weeks before you actually go into labor. i would jsut have her lay down with some tylenol and a heating pad, thats what i did and it eventually went away. hope she will be ok and good luck to her!!!

I would call other Ob's on your insurance list and ask for a 2nd opinion. You have both your daughter and her baby to worry about so don't be shy about getting a different opinion.
Good Luck to you.
