At times, people can wake up from 8 hours of sleep feeling like they've not slept a wink because of dreams. I'm not sure why it happens but personally, i tend to dream about important events in the day, or a problem that has been frustrating me, things that have been weighing heavily on my mind for the day. i think you should try to do something relaxing about an hour before you go to bed - listen to music, read a book, or whatever that helps you relax instead of going to bed right after you've finished your work or when there are still many things weighing on your mind.

a lot going on in your life? if so, it's quite natural that your problems should manifest themselves through dreams. just try to accept or resolve those issue in your life and you will probably get more restful nights.

having said that, i share your problem. i dream vividly each night and my dreams always involve me doing tiring things such as running, going to war etc.etc. never had a dream of going to a movie...that's be too Good to be true. in life, I'm the happiest, most-balanced person you could come across.

if you are like me, then I've got three things to tell you

1. sleep longer hours. At least your body will get some rest and you will not dream all the time, so your mind should get short breaks every now and then.
2.read happy books, watch happy movies.....try to stay off highly-charged, adrenaline-junkie sort of stuff
3.work out. do lots of cardiovascular exercise. it'll tire you out sufficiently to send your brain into deep-sleep mode.

What do you mean you don't get a good nights sleep? Do you mean you're tired in the morning? You might want to check a sleep clinic. You may have sleep apnea or something that's causing you to partially wake up throughout the night. Not getting good sleep can cause lots of problems for you so check it out.

Every one in my opinion has given excellent advice and I did rate it that way. It is a matter of trial an error now my friend. If none of the others help you, try a "nightcap", they seem to have forgotten that one. The joint thing wires me though, but can be used for most. If all else fails, do some crystal meth.---don't smoke it, by all means don't inject it, then exhaust yourself. Your biological clock is in the "speed" mode and in order to slow it down you might have to over-amp yourself. You'll sleep like a baby---trust me. Make sure that it is 95 to 98% pure though.

Let your doctor know this. They can give you medication to relieve this problem. It really can do the trick . Another idea is something called white noise.. It's like sleeping to the sound of a fan or an air cleaner.

the dreams are probably not whats waking you, just the first thing you remember when you do... try not to eat at least 3 hours before bed. maybe a warm bath to sooth you before bed.

i would say u have a great deal on ur mind, and its coming out in ur dreams. You may have to deal w/ a situation or somebody to quiet them.
