I have never heard of that , however if there is a lot of sugar in it then you will have a sugar high which will keep you awake. Any kind of a stimulant works, some people use coffee or chocolate, but the caffeine is what does that, however caffeine is not good for you. If you are wanting to stay up all night just for the sake of staying up all night. Exercising is a stimulant and staying active, clean your house go running, go swimming.
With the drinking of orange juice there is vitamin c in it and I know that if you take huge amounts of vit. c you can get diareah. Hope this helps.

Well I'm 26 weeks (7 months) pregnant and I drink close to a gallon of oj a day. I've never heard that it keeps you awake. If you drink enough you may stay up all night just making trips to the bathroom.Don't know who you got that info from but I don't suggest you ask that person for advice anymore.

Eight ounces per hour, but not a good idea. Use coffee instead. Healthier. Eight ounces of OJ every 24 hours is all that would do you any good healthwise. There is no wakeful quality in OJ but you will have to stay up to pee frequently if you drink enough often enough.

Enough to keep you going to the bathroom every 20 minutes!
I'm not sure OJ has any other awakening properties besides being slightly sour! I know it wakes me up in the morning but I rely on coffee or caffeine pills for my all-nighters.

I think you will have better luck with something that contains caffeine, like a black coffee shot; these days you can buy them with almost 100% strength (tastes disgusting but keeps you going longer than that Energizer bunny)

It's only a stimulant because
it has sugar and acid in it.
The effects are very short lived.
It's hard on your kidneys....and
your bowels will think you have
swallowed a plunger. Careful

id think it works just cuz if you drink lots of it then your bloodsugar is higher and that makes u stay away .... either that or the fact that it will keep you running to pee
