In fact you can upgrade any old platform of Windows to Windows XP Professional. These are the platforms that can upgrade, Pentium II, Pentium III. These are the operating systems that can upgrade from, Windows 1995 (too difficult), Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Me. Any of the above are ideal to upgrade to Windows XP, but for best performance your computer should be of Windows 98 and later.
