Try drinking warm tea and put 1-2 tablespoons of honey in it. It is really soothing to the throat.

If you're over 18 try some whiskey, lemon juice and honey to soothe the sore throat. If you are under 18, skip the whiskey. Its still pretty effective.
Gargle with some warm salt water too. That helps.
Slowly sip some hot tea with lemon and honey....

When I start getting a sore throat I double up on Cold-eeze zinc lozenges and Zicam. Take them religiously for a couple of days and that cold won't have a chance!!

Gargle with salt water - just as salty and hot as you can stand it. Drink lots of liquids, have some chicken soup and gets lots of rest.

Do not drink cough medicines.it lowers down your immunity on depending on the medicines.i should say you better drink plenty of water and eat plenty of fruits.You should stay away from unhealthy things like tidbits(biscuits,potato chips),fried foods like that.

first, whenever you get that first feeling of a cold, you NEED to pound the vitamin C. take one every hour. But, since you are already sick, keep the vitamin C comming, and also, a lot of water......rest......good luck
