Is it true that the Australian SASR, and the TAG personnel are so secretive they cannot have their faces taken in Photos/pictures?

Yes they are secret, but is it true they cannot have their pictures taken showing their faces? Is that why most training is conducted in WA? Perth, Etc..?

that is correct, due to operational necessity it is deemed imperative that SAS troopers not be identified because of the the covert nature of their ops. no good being inserted into a hostile area if the bad guys know who you are.

isnt the sasr a gun you mean the sas right . they can probably have personal pics but nothing for public release.
