an extreme "celebrity wanna-be" lifestyle. I find them to be cruel and not vey kind. Why is this? Is it because its a small island and yet so close to Manhattan?

Staten Island people think they live on Long Island and therfeore better than the other boroughs. That is why they tried unsuccessfully to secede from NYC. They think they are better than other NYC residents. I know, I lived there for 18 years, and saw their attitude.

I found that you run into that attitude a lot in the East, that's why I went back to the West coast. People are much friendly and down to earth...

I think that Brooklyn is even worse. Brooklyn is so hardcore & ghetto it's pathetic.
