This will be the first time I ever visit her and ive been in a relationship with her for almost 2 years now. Ive finaly saved up enough money to visit her and I want to make sure I leave a good impression on her parents before we announce were a couple. (they dont know yet and they probably wont my first visit) and I want to make sure they know what we have is real but foremost that they know they can trust me before they worrie about their daughters choice in me. are there any cultural taboos I absolutly need to not do or are there any tidbits of information that would impress them being an American which arent very well liked down there. any advice anyone could give me would be much appriciated.

My husband is Mexican and I learned a few things really quick. Never refuse food, doesn't matter if your about to puke, just eat and say how wonderful it is. Socialize with the men, not the women. The dad, brothers, etc will want to check you out to see if your "good enough" for her. Do not call the mother or father by their first names, Senor and Senora only. Show an interest in any children present, they need to know that if you "are the one" that you can produce a family for their daughter. Otherwise, just be respectful and pay attention. Follow their customs while you are there. Good luck!

I dont have a stable answer yet its unhappy how people at right here asking suggestion get taken care of via all and sundry else.. no longer basically this question yet others related to immigration. Blah blah blah "tax paying electorate" blah blah.. Im particular you adore your female buddy so what does it count number? I wager in the event that they have been born in a daunting us of a with a corrupt government they might want to get the hell out too. Yeah all and sundry those mexicans coming over right here and taking all those large apple choosing/cleansing/ christmas tree jobs from all and sundry is sooo undesirable. i understand they arrive right here some cases and commit crimes yet maximum of them are annoying working stable people.. stable success guy..

I think you are about to make the biggest mistake and that is to not be honest about your feelings toward their daughter. Why cant you go there and let them know you and she are falling in love? I am sure they would appreciate that more than anything else. Good luck.

You've known this Mexican girl for two years and you don't know anything about Mexicans? Maybe you should ask her.

Not that I would ever re-marry I would marry a foreign born woman for so many reason I cannot even begin! Latinos in mexico are very religious and very family oriented. As long as you are polite, it doesn't matter. What mexican country are you going to? The one with the civil wars or the one with the drug cartells? j/k
