GET A GAS! I HATE MY ELECTRIC WITH A PASSION. IT TAKES 45 MIN OR LONGER TO JUST PREHEAT THE DAMN PIECE.

It is just a matter of preference. I prefer electric myself. Like some people prefer fords to chevys. Never have had a problem or leaving the electricity on like I did the gas. That was my biggest concern. When was the last time you heard a house get blown up cuz of a electric stove being left on. How many times have you heard of a house being blown up cuz the gas stove was left on? I rest my case.

I have an electric too, and I would much rather cook with a gas stove.

gas... because when you turn off an electric stove.. the stove is still hot until the coil cools.. with gas, the heat stop almost instantly

Gas... no doubt. I have used both and i will only use gas now. If you do a lot of baking, the gas is going to work a lot better. You have a lot more control when you are using gas.

Electric... it's all I've ever had. I've cooked on a gas stove while camping and it stinks weird.

me too. don't get me wrong, i love my electric stove, but i loved gas stoves you don't have to wait for ever when you lower or raise the heat. but the main reason we chose electric,no pilot lights to blow out so no leaking gas

Definantly gas for sure, hands down! I've just moved into a house with gas and it is sooo much better! I dont have to wait an hour for my water to boil...

Gas! It cooks more evenly and less expensive but the down fall of gas is that worrying about having it on and not know it! kinda scary to me!
