"he is no respecter of persons"
The spirit is a gentleman...so it's always up to us...When we "find God" it's really him calling us-he says "follow me"
he said it to ALL his disciples....he's the author and finisher of our faith, the work he begun in us, he'll complete this good work"
But we can intentionally not follow him any longer!
so can we lose it?
No
we can purposefully put it down though, and why would someone do that?
Obsession, maybe with a woman, and an affair follows and grows, then the man leaves the marriage
opression leads to obsession sometimes, what's your soul worth?
it's priceless!
Nothings worth going astray from the Lord!
But the bible says- some went out from us, but they were not of us, or they wouldn't have went out from us!
I tend to believe those that lave the faith, were never truly saved-they held back part of their heart

I personally believe that just as easily as a person can ‘make a decision for Christ’, a person can also turn there back on the Lord or not repent of their sins and end up in hell. Repentance is a very important step in the salvation of an individual (and I don’t believe it is stressed enough today).
I personally think that there are un repentant people who can use the once saved always saved doctrine to excuse their sin and say ‘it doesn’t matter what you do, once you become a Christian you can still sin and get into heaven’ and obviously this is wrong. Yes God is a God is gracious and he forgives the repentant sinner.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; - ACTS 3:19

Luke 13:3 (New International Version)
I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

God looks upon the heart and sees whether we have a heart for God and desire to live that a life devoted to him pleases him.

If an individual is too proud to recognize that they are a sinner and will not repent of their sins then the Lord of their life is not God but Satan.
I believe that there are many people who are in hell who have called themselves Christians, who either have never truly repented of their sins and have made Jesus the Lord of their Lives and false converts never really came into a relationship with the Lord & did not really know the Lord.

We must turn to the Lord today and repent of our sins and turn to God.

Hosea 14:2 (New International Version)

Take words with you
and return to the LORD.
Say to him:
"Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.

Check it out... my Bible studies have led me to believe BOTH! Not really, but here's why I say that: I don't believe we are "saved" until we die. We can be "born again" or in a saving relationship but I am a believer in Christ who would not call myself "saved" yet! So, between now and the time I die... if I fall away from faith in God, then I was never "saved" in the first place and am obviously "lost". But once I die, if my relationship in Christ is in tact (meaning I have put my life in His hands), then God promises salvation. And once I receive that salvation, I will never lose it! So, in essence, I think both arguments hold true (to some extent) and that many people use certain verses to back their view but disregard the other verses. I try not to do that as much as possible. Also, I notice alot of people like to think of themselves as "saved" now. But God doesn't promise "instant" salvation anywhere in the Bible that I can find. He promises forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit... but not instant salvation. Half the book of Hebrews talks about finishing the race and not falling away. But then in other places you will see the "guarantee" of permanent salvation.

I hope this answer gives you something to think about and study. I have devoted alot of time to this subject already and am very intrigued by it. Fee free to email me if you have any more thoughts or questions!

Be blessed!

I believe that the salvation can be lost if the person still walk through the sinful ways or he deny Christ or he kills himself.

The Church that I attend teaches once you are saved you are saved for ever and by no chance you will lose the salvation.

But when ever I give messages I warn others, the salvation could be lost if you are not careful.
Israel in the old testament is one good example.

But one fact is that those who are really saved will never be lost.
John 10

1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

The saddest thing in today's Christianity is, people are taking decisions to accept Jesus Christ just by their word and take baptism and consider this as a license to do more sins believing once saved, saved forever.

These people are not really saved, for God know the thoughts of man.

All I care to know is A: By faith alone..is not in the bible anywhere. B.Christ said,"Only heartfelt repetence brings about forgiveness of sin." and C: Why did Paul say he was working out his salvation, if he believed he was saved by faith alone? Yes, I believe you can fall out of God's grace.

I do not believe salvation can be lost but I do believe that it can be forfeited. This is based on many different New Testament scriptures.

I believe salvation can be lost. If you fall out of favor with God.

Salvation can be lost. Once saved you technically give yourself up to live the way of salvation. So you can be saved, and continue to live however you want, but ultimately you are denying your serenity and most likely will not be 'saved'

Truth From The "First Book"

Truth From The "First Book"
(What you believe will determine to you what this means)
Masking to create no offense.
It is said he will come again
He will, of course not like before.
He had set the obvious, and had said the obvious.
An example (in a state). I do know truth; "Trust in Me"
He will come again in the strongest of new examples
In us. In who does. In who is true.
True to themselves, without the chains of others
Without the inspiration of others.
Without the help of others. Saving us by showing how to save ourselves
Do not waste your time in prayer, in hope, in waiting
For that expected "Time".
That time is, and that time is now
And like most, his reason is misunderstood.
Truth, in what is written, but can not and
Will not be proven as fact.
Belief, especially in one self is following a set; but not set example
But, He will not come again in himself,
For it is in us.
People are praying; wasting time in his example.
Ironically he has gained what he had tried to end. We have complete control
He will come again in the form of Truth
When someone chooses to be who they are
The blind who will finally choose to see.
But this time not as example.
This time in what 'He' will choose to be
This time in what 'He' believes is to be "Free"
Will he come again; yes and of course no
His example lives on in Me
His example to protect ourselves, and
Show us how to be ourselves, and
Who we call "I" and "Me"
Trust and you will See

If you are truly saved, you might still lose it once in a while, but you will always come back if it is true.

OSAS is unbiblical. Once saved, you should stick to the christian teachings or else you will lose your first salvation.
